You’re palletized and ready for takeoff, adventure of a lifetime!!
In fact, it is your life!
Well, when you’re flying back to the states on a C-130 with a fuel leak and a fire in the cockpit, the most comfortable place to curl up is, in fact, on top of the baggage. It keeps you closer to the heat duct in the ceiling. And, I suppose, if the plane landed in other than ideal territory, the duffel bags would be that extra cushion.
But that excess baggage of limiting thoughts you’ve been hanging onto is not going up in value. Do you really think it’s “secure” to fall back on? My rule is, if you wouldn’t pay a mover to carry it, then you don’t need to be carrying it either. Emotional or physical, baggage is baggage is baggage.
